The Petanque Champions Training Camp
Petanque is an institution in the south of France and at Camping Les Plans! That’s why our 4-star campsite regularly organizes events around petanque.
For the 2024 season, the petanque training camp will be held on May 16th and 17th. It will take place with the presence of Mickaël Bonetto, Stéphane Robineau, Ludovic Montoro, and Mayron Baudino.
These petanque players, Petanque Champions, come to Camping Les Plans to share their know-how and expertise with petanque players and other enthusiasts of the game of boules. This training camp is therefore the perfect opportunity for you to learn or improve your petanque skills.
Two options are available: DUO (2 players) or SOLO (1 player) on full board with accommodation in a 2-bedroom Cottage. Possibility of upgrading to premium accommodation and possibility of coming with a companion.
Description of the offer:
Petanque lessons provided by the 4 petanque champions: Mickaël Bonetto, Stéphane Robineau, Ludovic Montoro, and Mayron Baudino.
- 2 full days of training including tips, exercises, a tournament, and challenges against the champions.
- Small workgroup (9 people) for more interaction with each champion.
- All participants benefit from a personalized work session and coaching with each champion.
- A pure experience with pros, great sporting and human encounters between boules enthusiasts.
With this petanque training camp, our 4-star campsite in Gard offers petanque enthusiasts the opportunity to improve and progress alongside masters in the field. The petanque camp at the campsite is an opportunity to compete against champions, to learn and discover this discipline, to test your level, but also to learn new tactics and improve.
Whether you are a beginner, amateur, or expert, you can take part in the petanque training camps organized by the campsite. You will evolve with pros of the game of boules, they will immediately see any potential flaws and help you correct and progress!
I’m booking my petanque training camp
The base rate includes 2 days of training, breakfast on day 1, lunch on day 1, dinner on day 1, breakfast on day 2, lunch on day 2, and one night in a Cottage (bedding and blankets included).
- Solo training with accommodation, bed made upon arrival, and full board: €399 per person
- Duo training with accommodation, beds made upon arrival, and full board: €750 for 2 persons
Additional options:
- Extra night (€70): Arrival the day before – dinner at the restaurant the day before the training, and 1 night in a Cottage. Ideal for being on-site in time for the start of the training the next morning.
- Accompanying person* 1 night (€140): Meals and breakfasts at the restaurant, one night in the same accommodation as the accompanied person. It is not possible to participate in the training sessions.
- Accompanying person* 2 nights (€200): Meals and breakfasts at the restaurant, two nights in the same accommodation as the accompanied person. It is not possible to participate in the training sessions.
- Upgrade to Premium accommodation (€50 solo – €80 duo): Stay in a Prestige Cottage, air-conditioned, and relax on your large terrace with a solarium after the training.
*Accompanying persons will dine at a different table from the trainees, who will dine with the players.

Day 1 Schedule
- 8:30 AM Welcome, breakfast, and distribution of welcome gifts.
- 8:50 AM Formation of work groups with set objectives.
- 9:00 AM Workshops led by a champion, with 9 participants per workshop and per champion. Explanation, exercises, and demonstrations of playing postures, pointing, shooting, and effects.
- 10:30 AM Morning debriefing.
- 12:00 PM Mini challenges.
- 12:30 PM Lunch together with the champions at the Les Plans Restaurant.
- 1:30 PM Souvenir photo session.
- 2:00 PM Resumption of workshops. Continued explanation, exercises, and demonstrations of pointing, shooting, and effects.
- 5:00 PM Afternoon debriefing.
- 5:30 PM Optional skill enhancement.
- 6:00 PM End of the first day.
- 8:00 PM Dinner together with the champions at the Les Plans Restaurant.
Day 2 Schedule
- 8:00 AM Breakfast at the Les Plans Restaurant.
- 8:30 AM Start of Day 2.
- 9:00 AM New progression workshops led by a champion, with 9 participants per workshop and per champion.
- 11:00 AM Team challenge against a champion.
- 12:30 PM Lunch together with the champions at the Les Plans Restaurant.
- 2:00 PM “Legend cup tournament”: Team tournament, with surprises in store.
- 4:30 PM Final sprint: Real-life test.
- 5:00 PM End of the stage, awarding of certificates, and souvenir photo.
